Stay Celonis Certified: How to keep your Digital Badge during November 2022 Delta Exam Cycle

Celonis rolled out its new Partner Enablement Program earlier this year. As part of the program, Celonis introduced Delta Exams and the Certification Maintenance Subscription. Today, the November 2022 Delta Exam Cycle begins. Holders of Celonis Certified Digital Badges have until January 31, 2023, 00:00 PDT to complete the required Delta Exams to maintain their certifications and avoid having to complete the lengthier full recertification process.

The following Celonis Certifications DO have a Delta Exam during the November 2022 cycle:

  • Build Analyses - Advanced (Replaced with Write PQL Queries as of April 2023)

  • Build Action Flows

  • Build Knowledge Models and Views

  • Get Data into the EMS

  • Identify and Drive Opportunities

  • Create and Deliver Demos

  • Manage Implementation Projects

  • Manage Change and Scale Adoption

All Celonis Academy learners who hold one or more of the 8 certifications above, and who earned that certification in the transition to the Partner Enablement Program (PEP) 2.0 as a replacement for an old certification must complete the required Delta Exam during the November 2022 Cycle. If you fall into this group, you were emailed on the 2nd and 15th November 2022 at the same email address used for your Celonis Academy account - check this email for your personalized instructions

Learners who completed their certification(s) after the new program launched (i.e. after May 25 2022) do NOT need to complete the Delta Exam for those certifications.

The following Certifications DO NOT have a Delta Exam in the November 2022 Cycle and thus are valid until at least the next Delta Cycle in May 2023:

  • Build Analyses - Basics

  • Prove Celonis Value

  • Deliver Business Value with Celonis

Also, partner admins can see which of their employees' certifications are "at-risk" in their Training Analytics available in the Partner Portal.

Celonis Academy learners can see their “at-risk” exams under Training Analytics available in the Partner Portal.

What are Delta Exams?

Delta Exams are recertification exams which must be completed in order to keep your Celonis Certification up-to-date and valid. Delta Exams are shorter than initial Certification Exams and only cover new content. A Delta exam will be required at most twice a year and at least once every two years.

Delta Exams are published twice a year in mid-May and mid-November. During each exam cycle, Certified badge holders will have 2 months to complete the required Delta Exams. Learners will be notified two weeks prior to the start of each cycle about which Delta Exams they need to complete. Badge holders will also be notified if they have no required Delta Exams during a cycle.

If Certified badge holders fail to complete their Delta Exam(s) by the deadline, their Certification(s) will directly expire the next day - unless they have a pre-set expiration date. If they have a pre-set expiration date, the Certification(s) will continue to be valid until that date, but on that date it will expire (i.e. badge holders will not have a second chance to complete a Delta Exam at the point of expiration).

Badge holders must purchase the Certification Maintenance Subscription in order to access the Delta Exams (unless your partner organization receives these for free based on your partner level).

What is the Certificate Maintenance Subscription?

The Certification Maintenance Subscription gives certified partners access to all their Delta exams for a single $150 (USD) annual fee per learner. Certified badge holders from partner organizations that receive exams for free based on their partner level, do not need to purchase the Subscription and will already directly have access to any Delta Exams in their Academy account.

Instructions for how to purchase and manage a subscription, including a step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots, are available in the Certification Maintenance Subscription - Purchase Guide.
