"From Champions on the Court to Champions in Process Intelligence: UConn's Graduate Business Career Readiness and Professional Development Office honors Celonis as Corporate Partner of the Year"
STORRS, CT – June 12 — On June 4th, the University of Connecticut’s Graduate Business Career Readiness and Professional Development office recognized Celonis, a global leader in process mining, as its Corporate Partner of the Year in 2025 at a ceremony at UConn’s Hartford, CT., campus.
This award celebrates Celonis’ outstanding collaboration with UConn’s School of Business and the Fintech+ and Risk Management programs, fostering a unique industry-academic partnership that equips future leaders with cutting-edge digital skills and a data-first mindset. The recognition reflects Celonis' leadership in technology and innovation, as well as its commitment to developing talent and driving real-world impact through education.
“We’re thrilled to honor Celonis for their exceptional contributions to our academic community and programs,” said John Wilson, Academic Advisor, MS FinTech. According to Laurissa Berk, Director of Global & Experiential Education, “Celonis’ work with our faculty and students has brought unparalleled insight into how organizations can uncover inefficiencies and transform operations using process intelligence.”
Celonis has worked closely with Berk on developing student sessions, executive learning engagements, tech roundtable symposiums, and international partnerships, including hosting immersive sessions for global executives studying AI, cyber, and risk analytics at their Stamford and Hartford campuses. These initiatives align with UConn’s mission to lead in both athletic excellence and academic innovation.
“We’re honored to be recognized by UConn, and to align our talents to help John and Laurissa make their Fintech & Risk Mgt. programs the best in the nation,” said David Palastro, Senior Manager of Domain Partnerships at Celonis. “Celonis was born from academia in Germany with our founders, so we believe in building open ecosystems of innovation, and our partnership with UConn exemplifies how business and education can come together to shape the future of digital leadership.”
As UConn expands its Stamford footprint and deepens its role in the regional innovation economy, the Celonis Academic Alliance partnership, headed by Sarah Polech, will remain a cornerstone in preparing students and executives to lead with process intelligence. "As the demand for process intelligence continues to grow, we are thrilled to work with the academic leaders at UConn to embed a baseline knowledge for students to take with them into the job market," Polech says.
