Our sustainability initiatives

Celonis Climate Program

To limit global warming, the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C goal requires a significant global shift: cutting emissions by 45% by 2030 and reaching net-zero by 2050.

Celonis is committed to significantly reducing its environmental impact across its operations and value chain no later than 2030, guided by its validated near-term targets:

  • Reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by FY2031 from a FY2024 (February 2023 to January 2024) base year.
  • Reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from business travel 51.6% per FTE by FY2031, from a FY2024 base year.
  • Ensure that 50.5% of its suppliers by emissions covering purchased goods and services and capital goods will have science-based targets by FY2030.

Furthermore, we are investing in high-quality carbon removal projects beyond our value chain.

Celonis Context Model for Sustainability
By embedding sustainability metrics into core operational workflows, the Celonis Context Model bridges the gap between ESG tracking and daily business operations. It automates granular emissions measurement and supplier sustainability scoring, giving organizations the reliable foundation needed for streamlined reporting. By providing AI agents and business teams with deep process context, the Celonis Context Model enables them to scale sustainability insights enterprise-wide and drive automated and informed actions at every step.
Shipping Emissions App
Accurately identifying the sources of your shipping emissions — one of the largest opportunities in reducing carbon — requires the right tools and insights.

The Celonis Shipping Emission App leverages delivery data from ERP or TM systems and automatically combines it with industry-approved carbon emission factors provided by Climatiq. The app provides the ability to run simulations, such as changing transport modes or switching fuel sources, helping you identify areas with the greatest carbon-saving potential.
Material Emissions App
Reducing carbon emissions of purchased goods and services is a critical step toward tackling Scope 3 challenges.

The Material Emissions App connects your procurement data with supplier-specific primary emissions and secondary data by Climatiq, providing a scalable solution for measuring and analyzing emissions in procurement. With these insights, you can take strategic steps to manage and reduce your Scope 3 emissions effectively.
Sustainable Spend App
Procurement teams have a new factor to consider in their already complex decision making - sustainability. With a long list of suppliers, it can be a daunting task to evaluate each supplier’s sustainability metrics and select optimal ones to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

View, prioritize and efficiently manage suppliers to optimize for supplier sustainability rating (provided by IntegrityNext or EcoVadis), increase rating coverage and boost sustainable spend, all in one application.
Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) App
This app changes carbon accounting from a static report into an active part of daily operations. It combines transactional data from business systems across the supply chain with verified emission factors. This gives companies an audit-ready view of emissions across a product’s entire lifecycle.

Generate precise, ISO 14067-compliant product carbon footprint reports, view the specific carbon footprint of raw materials and sub-assemblies automatically within the Bill of Materials, and take action.

By automating most of the manual effort associated with carbon accounting, the PCF App helps organizations move from simple reporting to measurable carbon reduction.
