What are Delta Exams?
Delta Exams are the fastest way to keep your Celonis qualifications valid. They are free, focused, and built around only the latest innovations and updates. So you stay current without re-sitting full qualification exams. The best part? If there's no new content relevant to your qualification for a given cycle, you don’t need to take a Delta Exam, and your digital badge stays valid automatically.
Delta Exams are released every July and remain open for a three-month window, closing at the end of September. Throughout the cycle, you receive regular reminders to help you stay on track and ensure you complete your exams before the deadline.
What happens if you miss the deadline?
If you don't complete the required Delta Exams by September 30, or fail both attempts, your associated qualifications expire on October 1. Any Expert Badges linked to those qualifications are lost at the same time, and re-qualifying means retaking the full (longer) qualification exams.
Note: If a qualification has a pre-set expiration date, it remains valid until that date and then expires — without a Delta Exam option.

Your path to maintaining qualification
About two weeks before the cycle begins, you'll receive a personalized notification listing the exact Delta Exams you need. This gives you time to plan ahead.
Once the cycle starts, Celonis Academy enrolls you automatically. Your exam will be waiting under "My Activity" on your Academy dashboard, or you can go directly to the Delta Exam page. If no Delta Exam is needed, you won't be enrolled, and your badge stays valid.

Tracking your organization’s progress
Want visibility into your team's learning journey? The Learning Analytics Dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of total learners, valid qualifications, certifications, and Expert Badges. During an active Delta Cycle, it also shows who is valid, at-risk, or expired, with per-learner Delta Exam status.
