Celonis' New Partner Enablement Program Celonis delivers “world class” process mining and execution management training

On May 25, Celonis launched its new Partner Enablement Program designed to provide a “world class” enablement journey from the initial onboarding, through master classes and continuous learning.

“This is the year the Ecosystem gets unleashed,” said Gene Reznik, SVP, ecosystem and industries at Celonis, during a kick-off event in April to announce the revamped program.

What is the Celonis Partner Program?

Changing the world of business is a team sport. We need smart, committed people joining together to make the processes that run work more efficient and sustainable. Otherwise, we can’t address the challenges that loom large on the horizon, be they macroeconomic headwinds like inflation and supply chain constraints or existential threats such as climate change.

At Celonis, we have a long history of partnering with others to uncover and eliminate hidden inefficiencies in the processes that underpin modern society. The Celonis Partner Network combines the best process mining business expertise and technology to support organizations on their Execution Management journey. And to provide our partners the training they need to deliver incredible value and drive systemic change, Celonis Academy offers a suite of training courses and certification exams through the Partner Enablement Program (PEP).

Celonis has been running the PEP for nearly 2 years, and in mid-2021, we conducted a survey of over 50 different sources to learn what was working and what wasn’t with the program. We collected responses from our large GSI (global system integrator) partners, smaller regional SI (system integrator) partners, tech partners, our partner management teams and key personnel both internally and externally. PEP 2.0 is a result of the feedback we received from learners who have been through the program and people who use our platform on a regular basis. 

“Our overall objective with these key changes is to provide a clear, efficient and value-focused learning journey for every kind of partner type and partner role,” said Shaun Flaherty, Celonis’s senior director, ecosystem solution and success.

What’s new in Celonis Partner Enablement Program 2.0?

You’ll find a detailed rundown of what’s in the new Celonis Partner Enablement Program in the PEP 2.0 kick-off event video, but here are the highlights:

• Learning journeys based on your roles: We’ve restructured the role-based training tracks to more closely match the roles within partner organizations.

• Modular learning tracks to customize your journey: We’ve broken down the lengthy role-based, hands-on training tracks into shorter, goal-based training tracks and certification exams. This new flexible structure lets learners choose and customize their learning journey by picking the modules that fit their role.

• Promoting the full EMS Value Proposition: The focus of some content was changed to ensure that the full value proposition is clear and upfront in the training tracks.

• Expert level Celonis Digital Badges: To recognize and reward the superusers who complete multiple training tracks and certifications in a particular area, we’ve created expert-level Celonis Digital Badges. For example, learners who complete all the training in the Create area will automatically receive a Solution Creation Expert badge.

• Faster MasterClass access and new MasterClass Community: The new training tracks make it quicker for learners to become MasterClass graduates. And soon, we’ll be launching a revamped version of our MasterClass program and our new MasterClass Community, which will include dedicated product enablement sessions, open forums and challenges to establish graduates as the go-to Celonis advisors for customers.

• New Celonis for Consulting Fast Track: Celonis for Consulting partners now have a dedicated training track, the Celonis for Consulting Fast Track, to help them accelerate client value and differentiate your services offering portfolio. 

• New Delta Exams: Instead of requiring learners to complete a full certification exam each year to maintain their certification, we will only require testing on new or updated content that was released since you were last certified. No new content, means no new exam will be required to retain your badge. Delta Exams will help you stay up-to-date with your Celonis certs without an unnecessary yearly time investment.

• New Exam Pricing: To reduce the financial burden of certification and training on our partners, we’re rolling out a new pricing structure. Certification exams for the Level 3, goal-based training tracks will cost $150 (USD) per core exam. Learners are allowed 2 attempts to pass, and earned digital certifications are valid for 1 year. Bundle discounts and vouchers are also available for Enablement Journeys leading to expert badges (Expert Bundles) as well as for quantity bundles. More details on bundles and discounts are provided in the Partner Certification Guide or learners can reach out to their Partner Manager or Digital Consulting Manager. In addition, we’re launching a new Certificate Renewal Subscription that gives you access to all Delta exams for a single $100 (USD) annual fee. If no Delta exam exists for your certification, you automatically receive your renewed badge with your subscription. Renewed badges are valid for 1 year.

Implementing the above modifications will raise the learning experience to where we all want it to be “world class”, Flaherty said.
