Local Data Storage and New Office: Celonis Strengthens its Presence in Switzerland

Munich & Zurich, May 14 2025 –  Celonis, a global leader in Process Mining, is further expanding its presence in Switzerland. Upon request, data can now be hosted in a local Swiss data centre. The option to store and process data within Switzerland makes it easier for customers and partners from the region to comply with the strict Swiss data protection laws. Local hosting is especially relevant for users in the financial sector, which must meet special compliance requirements in Switzerland.

Furthermore, Celonis is moving into a new office in Zurich, reinforcing its presence and strengthening ties with customers in Switzerland – including renowned companies like Hitachi Energy, Novartis, Syngenta, and Zurich Insurance.

“With the opening of our new office in Zurich and the decision to offer local processing and storage capacities, we are underlining our strong commitment to the Swiss Market,” said Vincent Leber, Vice President & Country Leader Switzerland. “We want to be as close as possible to our clients, enabling them to leverage our Process Intelligence Platform to optimize their business processes. The demand for high-performance process optimization solutions is growing: an increasing number of Swiss companies and international corporations headquartered in Switzerland rely on Celonis. We want to support them in continuously improving their processes and maximizing the ROI of their AI deployments.”

“We are very pleased that Celonis is expanding its presence in Switzerland, enabling even closer collaboration,” said Reto Bachmann, Head of Common Shared Services Supply Chain Management at Hitachi Energy. “Celonis Process Intelligence demonstrably helps us improve our business processes and unlock new value. This lays the foundation for effectively deploying future technologies like AI on a broad scale, which is becoming increasingly important for us in the long term.”

Process Intelligence: Common Language for Efficient Business Processes

Celonis is a leader in Process Mining. Process mining provides end-to-end visibility into business processes by consolidating and analyzing data from internal and external sources. This makes inefficiencies and weaknesses visible and allows them to be addressed in a targeted manner. Process intelligence connects these insights with the specific business context, providing the link between all systems and levels within an organization. As a result, AI applications gain the contextual understanding they need to deliver accurate and relevant outcomes. In many cases, process intelligence is what enables companies to use AI efficiently in the first place.
