A Day in the Life of a Celonaut: Katelyn Crush, Lead Value Engineer

Kate Crush has been with Celonis for three years and has greatly impacted both our customers' success and company culture. Kate helps our customers realize the true value Celonis offers through the power of our Execution Management System and is one of the Co-Chairs of our popular Business Resource Group, Parents@Celonis.

She takes us through a day in her life as a mother and how she’s found a healthy balance between work and family life at Celonis.

What does a typical day look like for you?

“Since starting at Celonis, I’ve been able to strike a balance between office hours, day care, drop-offs, and dinner time.”

Kate, a caring mother of 2, works hard to balance her time between work and family and has managed to find a schedule that works for her and her children. We recognize the importance of family at Celonis and offer flexibility, including a hybrid working model.

“As part of our Customer Value team (now Value Engineering), I’m dedicated to ensuring that our customers achieve a return on their investment. I do this by framing opportunities, then create action plans and action flows to address those opportunities and measure the value of those action plans.”

Kate is now a Lead Value Engineer at Celonis - a core member of the team that owns the end-to-end value journey of every customer at Celonis. She’s already helped customers realize over $100m USD in savings and has contributed to several of our customer success stories. What do your evenings look like after work?

“Between the hours of five and seven, I’m fully focused on being a mom. Seeing my customers realize hundreds of millions of dollars in value is an amazing feeling, but it will never compete with being present in my kids' lives - and that’s what Celonis empowers me to do.”

Kate, alongside other members of Parents@Celonis, helped us build a parental leave policy we’re proud of - consisting of 24 weeks of paid leave for main carers and 12 weeks for supporting carers for births and adoptions. See more of what life as a parent looks like at Celonis here.

👩‍🚀 Kate is a SAAS professional with 10 years of diverse experience in energy, defense manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, banking, and distribution. Her biggest passion is being a mother and loves to spend as much time with her children as possible - and empowers other parents to do the same.
